And they looked at the alpha-gal antibodies in those blood samples.

And then they kind of showed where they were most prevalent based on where the recruits came from.
Oh, that's fascinating, man.
And it's amazing.
If you look at the epicenter, which is really like southeastern Oklahoma up through northeastern, northwestern Arkansas into south central Missouri, it's like 47% of those recruits
had alpha-gal antibodies.
What?
47%.
And that was, you know, that was 15, that was almost 20 years ago.
But in the South, the interesting thing is in the Southeast where they were endemic, you know, the Lone Star ticks, much more so than, I mean, Arkansas, Southern Arkansas, Oklahoma, they would have had it.
But, you know, in places like Martha's Vineyard or the Hamptons, they had just as high rates.
And they didn't have endemic Lone Star ticks, but in the Southeast, it was only 10% of the recruits on average had alpha-gal.
So something, it makes you think that people who grew up with this, or it's been for decades or centuries even, there's probably some natural immunity built in, you would think, yeah.
No, no, no, that was my first thought, too, and it's just that white dot on the back.
That's the only thing.
