that a lot of people told me is effective is what's called auricular acupuncture.
Auricular, A-U-R-I-C-U-L-A-R.
And that means around the ear.
And it's when, you know, and it sounds woo woo, but it's- Yeah, I've already dismissed it, but tell me anyway.
You know, the thing about acupuncture is that it's actually one of those alternative medicines that has, they've had double blinds, they've had trials that have shown its effectiveness.
And when I talked to Commons about it, he said, look, I'm an allergist, this is not my thing.
But in some ways it makes a lot of sense to me.
Tell me.
Because the vagus nerve goes up there around your ear and it goes down into your gut.
Okay.
And the mast cells that are reacting to alpha-gal, they're down in your gut.
And so if you have something
that you can somehow modulate the reaction of those nerves to that allergen, that could explain a lot.
I mean, he was telling me, look, my son is allergic to walnuts.
If he eats a walnut, within seconds, he's got a reaction.
He said nothing else in the body moves that fast except for nerves.
That has to have a neural connection, you know?
Yeah, I got you.
No, it's like signals are shooting instantly.
It's faster than booze.
