You know, I actually went to a moonshiners reunion in South Carolina, and I spent two or three days...

asking people, hey, do you make moonshine?

I'd love to taste some moonshine.

And they were like, no, I don't know.

They looked at me, and I had this kind of East Coast accent.

That was a place where they really didn't trust me.

The ones in South Carolina.

He made it.

But they took these native hardled Indian peaches and they would soak it in moonshine.

And it would make this blood red, incredibly tasty moonshine.

Oh, really?

Yeah, I love that stuff.

And I actually, I mean, I probably shouldn't say this because it's a felony, but I made some moonshine in Brooklyn for one year.

Because in my neighborhood, there are all these apple trees planted in the 19th century, early 20th century, and nobody picked those apples.

They're all rotten.

So I went around and my friend Kevin and I, Kevin Bergen and I, mapped all the apple trees that we could find in our neighborhood.

And then we bought a press and we went around and asked everybody if we could get the apples.

And we ended up just pressing carboy after carboy, these giant glass jugs full of apples.

Where were you doing it at?

We were doing it in the basement of my house and out on the sidewalk.
