And by the way,
I've said before that resistance, you know, racism is wrong and it's horrible, but that resistance has made me stronger and I've seen it make a lot of people stronger.
A lot of people.
One of my favorite interviews was with Earl Woods, Tiger Woods' dad.
And I had the pleasure of interviewing the both of them right when he got his first jacket, his first green jacket.
And Earl said, you know, after I went to the military and served and put my life on the line for this country, me and a bunch of other black troops, soldiers, veterans, all we wanted to do was play golf and they wouldn't let us play golf.
And he said, I decided to create the world's greatest golfer.
And I decided he was gonna be so great
That if you denied him, it would delegitimize your sport.
And he took that baby and put him in a high chair in a garage and had that baby watch him swing a golf club hour after hour after hour.
And Earl said to me, Byron, by the time Tiger was 10 or 11 years old, I knew he was the world's greatest golfer.
That came out of racism.
That came out of resistance.
Hey, I served my country.
I was willing to die for you.
I can't even play golf with you?
Bam.
That gave birth to Tiger.
You also see what happened with Venus and Serena.
The father's like, hey, we have to figure out a way to get out of this ghetto.
