So this was the closest thing there was to a dagger last night at the Garden, just as the Knicks had gotten back within four points down the stretch against the defending champion Thunder.
National TV broadcast talking about the defensive strategy for the Knicks trying to guard SGA.
Mike Breida, the ESPN crew, that was his lone three-point attempt of the night.
Wasn't there just the two of them?
I thought there was three.
In any event, he did make that one count, and the Knicks then did give themselves those two three-point looks in the final seconds, but Jalen Brunson and OG Ananobi couldn't connect, so it ends Thunder 103, Knicks 100 after the two teams kind of traded blows throughout the course of the second half.
Jalen Brunson, to our point here, held to 16 points on five of 18 shooting and couldn't connect with the game on the line.
dismissed it and um let's go have that one back i would say that that was a tough shot it was i think the ananobi look was better i mean even though he's going backwards he didn't really have anyone in his face as much as brunson he was able to set himself not easy but i think better good solid game is good measuring stick game you can see that they can play with the spurs they can play with okc they're right there i mean so as long as they stay engaged like this i think they're going to be fine
You had some questionable calls, non-calls in this game, even though OKC only ended up with three more free-throw attempts than the Knicks.
But specifically for Mike Brown, that non-charge call in the first quarter where Brunson takes the hit, it would have gone against SGA and would have put him into early foul trouble with his third.
Not the case.
Yeah, he was all over the official, earned his first tech of the season.
Only one foul called against SGA the rest of the way.
Here is one from him post-game.
Asked if there's extra motivation coming into MSG to play the Knicks.
And I think you'll get the video here of him post-game with the outfit as we listen to this clip as well on CBS Sports Network.
The aroma of the building.
Do you think he meant that or he meant aura?
