In Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Holden Hoy is building a robot that speaks the Ojibwe language.
Hoy's robot sort of resembles a mini R2-D2 from Star Wars, if he was designed in Native American woodland florals.
You can ask it things like, how do you say bear in Ojibwe?
Hoy says it's important to protect the language because generation after generation is based around this culture.

The nationally representative survey conducted in the spring found that school districts are trying to address their funding gaps, in part by competing for students.
The survey asked leaders from 38 school districts to rank their top concerns.
Among them were rising costs and declining revenues.
The cost of services has increased, and state funding has not kept up.
Many of the schools surveyed say they are attempting to address budget shortfalls by increasing their enrollment.
Some are experimenting with marketing campaigns and increased services.

The report from the National Council on Teacher Quality looks at more than 700 elementary teacher prep programs across the U.S.
and finds only about half prepare educators to teach according to the science of reading.
And very few programs adequately equip teachers to teach reading to English language learners, who make up a growing share of students.
Federal testing shows a majority of students struggle to read at grade level.
