Nothing explicitly been said regarding those three friends as in they took the phone.
Like you said, they took the phone.
They took him.
They brought him out somewhere.
They killed him and then they dumped him.
That has never been said.
There's been more questions surrounding that.
And in a lot of ways, I'm with you in saying it doesn't make sense to me.
that these friends could have said he stayed on the island to talk to a girl.
We left.
He said he was going to come back later.
We had his phone.
He never came back.
That can be true.
And something also still could have happened to Nolan on that island.
These things are not mutually exclusive.
I don't think pointing the finger at a group of people is prudent until there's a reason to point a finger at a group of people, no matter who they are.
But I also think that the point you made about there being, by all accounts, several hundred people, several hundred young people who knew each other from the local area and the local schools on this island, no one saw anything nefarious happen.
But it doesn't sound like anyone saw Nolan Wells struggling and drowning, which also strikes me as odd with hundreds of people.
How no one could have said anything one way or the other, that to me is one of the biggest bits of the mystery.
