I think they were all quite terrified.

Yes, I'm reviewing stuff and I'm working a really sweet fiddle for a while until they realise.
Obviously, I'm claiming everything on expenses, but also you would get paid per band that you reviewed.
But every gig that happens, two bands play, the main and the support.
And for a very long time, I'm reviewing the support band completely separately to the main band so that I'm getting two for one on each one that I'm doing.
And then one day I'm taken to one side and it's explained to me that that's not the correct thing to do.
Well, you'd think, wouldn't you?
But there wasn't a massive stampede, I have to say.
My schedule was fairly clear, boy-wise.
They all just found me terrifying.
A fat, gobby, working-class woman who's often smoking a cigarette the wrong way around and has to have someone go, you've set fire to the filter, it goes the other way around, isn't top of everyone's list.
And also, to give them their credit, even in the 1990s, I think people were, you know, everyone I'm working with is at least 10 years older than me.
And I think everyone's very aware that it would be incorrect to try and sexually proposition a 16-year-old child.
My first romantic experience is my husband.

We are in Hammersmith and we are both interviewing the same band.
