Invader often works under the cover of darkness.
And like any serious street artist, his identity is a secret.
But that hasn't stopped him from attracting fans.
If you know a child in a city that has been invaded by the artworks, the chances are you've heard of Flash Invaders, an app on which you score points for finding or flashing the mosaics.
So I found my second invader on Maven Lane.
Um and it was a sort of ginger hairs, fixated man.
Smoking a cigarette.
Yeah.
Must admit.
Invader uses the ancient practice of mosaic to create figures inspired by retro video games.
Each tile acts as a perfect pixel, which makes the mosaics look like digital images.
This pixelated effect also means the images can be scanned on a phone, a bit like a QR code, to play Flash Invaders.
The aim of the game is not only to interact with fans, says Invader, who spoke to me anonymously, but also to spark curiosity.
By the end of my own exploration, I could see what he meant.
Mobile games are often criticized for gluing people to their phones.
But this one teaches you to check your surroundings.
Whether on a street in Covent Garden or at the top of the Eiffel Tower, it's always worth looking up.
