My grand my grandpa was very uh supportive of me going into STEM.

Um, he really believed in me.
I remember there was a woman that
Uh I also went to church, um, my grandparents' church as well.
Um
And there was a woman there that said that I should go into fashion.
And she's like, Why is Kate trying to go into STEM?
Like, you know, she's uh, she's pretty.
Like, why doesn't she just go into the all the all of these like just go into a completely different thing?
And my grandpa used to like, you know, call her on the phone and tell her, like, no, like my daughter's going into a STEM career or my granddaughter's going into a STEM career.
And like,
I really like appreciated having someone like advocate for me and like see that like
You know, I remember he would tell everybody like, Oh yeah, like she really wants to be a quant.
And then I became a quant of Bank of America and he passed away like a few years before that.
So it was it was really instrumental.
I think we underestimate the people around us and like who supports us.
Um, sometimes you you need to lean into that and so that's important.
