I think it's an important thing for us, the county, to continue to look at.
That's why we have been working on this at the county.
we have the ability to do that unfortunately it doesn't look like the state's going to get the study done but chair randall myself and the leadership of mr hemstreet and his staff have been working on this we within the last few weeks met with the town mayors not the mayors there was a few mayors there but basically the town managers to discuss um issues that may be arising in the western loudon in the groundwater situation we are committed and have met with them about and are kind of uh
putting together details to do a detailed and qualified study throughout all of Western Loudoun.
The good news, Loudoun Water was a participant in this.
They did report to us.
They have been monitoring for a number of years a number of the wells that they're responsible for throughout the West, and they are charging very well.
So that was really good news to hear, but obviously it's not comprehensive.
It's not throughout the whole Western part of the county.
So I think it's really important for us to get a real good understanding
um that data set um and that will take a few years to ultimately do that but uh we are as a county um our our county staff um are working on that i'm grateful to the county minister mr hemstreet for helping us coordinate that and get that together
On another note, on a personal note, that's kind of the news from Catoctin, but on a personal note, some people have been asking me a lot of questions.
I had a little incident this past week on Thursday where my family had gone down to their lake house and it caught on fire and my boys
It basically burned completely, but to make a long story short, my boys were in the house.
They kind of followed the buddy system.
They called the fire department.
They got local help by running up the street.
My wife was just up the street, and so they were able to do all of that themselves.
The foundation was saved, thankfully, but they were also safe, and I'm really proud of them for the action that they took.
They were praised by the fire marshal.
