Yeah, I think the biggest memory is playing mini six in the room after games or playing with other little kids around the dressing room.

I remember how cool it was seeing how big the stalls were when you were a little kid and seeing their equipment and thinking how cool it was.

That's something I'll always remember and always take with me.

And I even got some pictures out of my draft suit.

So it's very special.

I have no clue or no hints from anybody, so I was just as blind as everybody else was.

Just to hear my name get called at all, and then especially to this organization, it's got a personal connection and a big emotional meaning for me.

I'm just so grateful, and this couldn't have been more perfect for me.

Yeah, I think I'm confident because I know what a good coach he is firsthand.

And any son would say that, but I know for a fact all his players agree.

And I have nothing but good things to say about him, and I know he's well-respected.

And as a player, I'm a very coachable guy, and I'm very professional when I'm at the rink.

So I won't have any trouble being able to make him my coach at the rink and have him be my dad away from the rink.

Hugging all my family, I was so happy and so relieved to hear my name.

And walking up on stage and shaking hands with Gary, it's kind of a dream come true.

That feeling of nervousness and uneasiness just immediately went away.
