Allen Robinson talked about the difficulties for receivers in the cold and how it does feel like a rock and it's slick and it's not as easy.
And he wasn't, Rome was not the only one by any means who had drops.
You know, Colston Loveland, you saw that.
There was a lot of drops to go around.
But all of that said...
when you realize that the defense was to do what they did to be able to step up and play the game that they have been playing against a quarterback who's arguably the best in the league against the Blitz.
And Dennis Allen is like, no, I'm going to do this anyway.
And my biggest chess piece is that I'm going to move around this board are not even guys who you thought would be healthy enough to play.
And he's like, Kyler Gordon, second game back from Andrew Reserve, I'm going to send him anyway.
The experience that he has as a head coach, I think, paid off because he didn't change what he did to answer that team.
And that's what makes this so hard today is knowing that the biggest concern I had about this team was the part that stepped up the most.
And you're right.
Specifically with the secondary play because of the injuries.
And you were like, well, how much rust can Kyler Gordon shake off in a week?
Well, apparently he shook all the rust off because he looked like Kyler Gordon that we remember.
He looked like a guy when you're in nickel or dime...
you're good to go because he is a de facto linebacker when he needs to be attacking the run.
You're looking at Jaquan Brisker coming down to the box and making plays as if he is a linebacker, not just a defensive back.
And I think the combination of that unleashed everything in Dennis Allen's arsenal.
That plus a spirited effort by the defensive line, the front four, had the Bears right there, ready to go.
