I was like, oh, man, it's starting to pick up steam.

But I mean, I pulled, I think I talked to seven different GMs slash presidents of hockey ops at the Combine.

Six of them told me that they felt it should come back.

Three of them said they voted to stay decentralized last year.

And then the draft hadn't even happened, obviously, at the Combine.

And they were saying, they're like, you know what?

I think it needs to come back.

And one of them said, we can't make this the annual event where everyone comes together, the draft Combines.

to try to get work done.

It's too early.

This isn't the right forum for it.

So I certainly think that there is an appetite from some execs.

And then some of them, even after last year's, were passionate about it coming back.

They're like, this is crazy that we're not doing it.

And now my hope is diminished.

I don't think Gary's even going to do a vote this summer.

I think it's just going to run it back decentralized.
