So Alpha Point is really what we like to say is we'd like to meet you wherever you are at in your journey of vision loss.
So we provide employment opportunities to working age adults who are visually impaired or blind, but we also provide rehabilitation services to people who are visually impaired or blind.
Perhaps they have recently lost their vision and they're trying to learn how to adapt to that lifestyle of
vision loss and live independently and live confidently.
And as we'd like to say, not just live, but thrive with vision loss.
So we work with adults of that nature.
Um, we work with people in our low vision clinic who are going through visual impairment, perhaps due to diabetes or due to macular degeneration or things of that nature.
And they really just want to live in their own home and they want to age with dignity and age in their own home.
And of course, we also work with blind and visually impaired youth, which is why we are all
Absolutely.
And yes, we want to meet someone wherever they are at in their journey with vision loss so we can start working with someone with vision loss or with blindness as early as like five or six years old, all the way up until they are senior citizens and whatever they are dealing with in their life.
yeah and uh and and you know alpha point helps tons of people here but not just in kansas city right as well it's it started in kansas city but it's grown and even has uh you know one uh location in new york correct yes we do have new york offices we have offices in queens new york and yeah we service people as much as we possibly can we have clients from other states we have clients who come into our rehabilitation program from kansas from oklahoma from texas from arkansas and we also have
offices in New York that employ as well, like you were saying.
I did.
So my AlphaPoint journey started in 2008.
And I will just kind of give you a, I'll try to be brief here, but just to give you a brief rundown of my own AlphaPoint journey.
I started as a client in 2008.
And then in 2016, I learned that I was going to be a first-time father.
and was desperate for employment and was having a very hard time getting a job was having a very hard time getting an interview and alpha point gave me a job when i felt like nobody else would they gave me a chance they gave me an opportunity i worked in our call center for nine years and then i got promoted uh last march to content and community relations specialist and i'll tell you soren what it's done for me personally
