I go into my office that has my name on the door and I set down my coffee and I feel like I'm home.
I feel like I'm exactly where I'm supposed to be doing exactly what I'm supposed to be doing.
I work with an incredible team of people doing amazing work.
I couldn't be happier.
I am, yeah, a huge sports fan.
That developed as I moved to Kansas City.
I was not a sports fan before moving here.
So I was born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma, which makes the fact that I was not a sports fan all the more ironic because it's a huge Boomer Sooner town.
My father is a huge Sooners fan, so I grew up in a football household and just never got into it.
I considered it something permanently out of my reach, just unobtainable because of my vision loss.
And got into it, I guess you could almost call it a coping mechanism of an adaptive skill.
When I moved to Kansas City, I learned about football just so that I could discuss it with people on a bus or at the water cooler, so to speak.
And football and baseball and basketball ended up becoming huge passions of mine.
So I lived in Norman, Oklahoma.
I lived at Lake of the Ozarks for 11 years.
And then I moved to Kansas City to work for Alpha Point.
Well, I would have to say he was the first play-by-play I ever heard.
Mitch Holtis, if you're listening, absolutely love Mitch Holtis.
He is the best voice in the NFL, bar none.
And he really was the voice of sports for me because when I started listening to sports, he was the first voice, not only of football, but of just sports in general that I ever heard.
