It's kind of gone.
Yeah, I'm getting flurries.
I have no intention of downplaying the fear that many Americans are feeling right now.
We just saw an attack on a Jewish institution where a lot of people could have gotten killed.
But right now, I'm thinking about the fear that the people in the Middle East are experiencing, the people I speak to in the occupied West Bank who are now the target of much more violent and rampant Jewish settler terror attacks than they have been possibly ever before.
They are in this constant state of...
fear that the next person they see is going to be the person who will kill them.
And that's something that I experienced at my high school when I was hiding from the shooter in Parkland, Florida.
We didn't know whether or not the next person in the room was going to be the shooter.
It could have been the SWAT team.
It could have been somebody who was going to mow us all down with an assault rifle.
That fear is the only reality that the people in the occupied West Bank and all over the Middle East region know.
And right now, under cover of this war, settlers in the West Bank are committing violent pogroms that the world does not have the capacity to focus on.
So Americans are afraid.
We are afraid of the consequences of our country's actions.
But also there are countless innocent people in that region that are facing violence that they've never seen before.
Let's take a moment to be real here.
This case is a great example.
The Israeli occupying forces are constantly committing the crimes that Israel accuses the Hamas resistance of committing.
They systematically rape Palestinians.
