And and it came through a lot of the workings that in this case the misbehavior of detection dogs was you said it a little while ago, when the dog comes into odor, they freeze.
They lock up because there's so much excitement, anticipation of reward that the lock up
As Doc calls it, Pavlovian interference.
The body goes into tension because oh my gosh, I'm about ready to get the thing.
The sit isn't gonna happen.
The sit is very problematic.
I mean, again, there's lots of ways that people would work their way through it, but that what we're highlighting is the dog can't help but lock up because.
Of the especially the more excited dogs or motivated dogs are gonna lock up more frequently and harder because of that high motivation.
So you have these dogs that are highly motivated, really want the toy, have had a reinforcement history now that tells them this is going to happen.
And when they catch that odor, it just goes into vapor lock, body locks up, muscles tighten up, and now sitting becomes way.
harder of a thing to do uh in that cycle.
