So it it's and the the other thing I wanted to bring up that thought was super important that you shared.
I don't know if people would catch on to it, but I wanted to kind of highlight it again.
In that stage when you're developing the puppy, you said it earlier, you show them blanks and you show them distracting and proofing odors in that process.
And I think blanks is something that doesn't get brought up enough in the early stages because many want to have see the it's it's fun to see the dog.
We want to see the dog do odor and we do so many reps.
Um, and again, with the peers that we've talked about already, some of the first things they brought up is like, why do you guys in the industry wait so long to introduce negative, controlled negative?
Because you're basically telling the dog every time they get out, they're supposed to find something.
And without showing them that.
Sometimes nothing is there, the absence of stimulus is gonna happen.
We're basically making like you said earlier, we're making it punishing.
The absence of the stimulus for some dogs, if they have a strong reinforcement history, that they should always find something, if there's nothing there, it's almost punishing, which then gets them to go, Well, I can't find what this, but this thing smells like something.
And then as soon as a handler sees those behaviors, they start doing their thing exactly.
Exactly.
And then it becomes this vicious cycle.
And one of the best remedies was the introduction, and you said it earlier too, flexibility by by showing zero is an option.
And zero can have some type of like the correct answer gets reinforced, creates reduces the problem of the falses or reduces or creates creates flexibility in the dog to go, you know what, I may not find something and it's not the end of the world.
But with so, so much history of again, most programs do not introduce the concept of control negative or zero until they're way
thousands of reps in and then they go to show zero and there's fallout from that.
It's a s it's important.
