Give us your story.
How did you get to the position you're at today?
Obviously starting off your career as a deputy, but then how did you land in the canine position and what have you been doing since you've been there?
So you as you go through that, let me ask the first question because I think
The demographic in canine is quickly changing.
You know, I know when you first came in.
A female coming into the program was somewhat rare in comparison to the male dominated uh field that it's always been.
What was it like for you in that journey coming in?
Was it I mean, everybody, male or female, always has our tough times.
We we know whether we're in the no matter what the unit is, we always give each other hell.
There's always stuff we go through.
But what was it like or how was it being a woman entering this unit, entering this field, how was that like as a dog handler?
What advice would you give a woman going into this field?
Is there anything particular to pay attention to to uh take in consideration as you enter that?
No, I think it I think it's actually really good advice.
Be authentic because in this day and age where a lot of what we have on social media shows the best things, but
I think there's more value these days in showing that you're authentic self.
And like you said, sticking to what you're doing, be good at your tradecraft, always keep improving, be humble to it.
