major things that ends up kind of disqualifying someone's personal dog.
And if they were to show up, what would you tell them at a time that you're kind of looking for if they were to try to show up with their dog in hopes that this dog could go out there and do the job?
Yeah, it's I would definitely agree.
The number one thing that usually washes dogs out is the environmental aspect, you know, handling all the crazy things that many of these environments are going to throw at you, especially as a commercial detection dog handler.
I mean, you could be doing a concert event where they have fireworks going off.
You could go into a nightclub where the floor is see-through acrylic with lights underneath it and speakers and it's vibrating and all these crazy things that go on that, you
The average person may not think of just because it's not their world.
And like you said, my dog's crazy to play at home and annoys me.
But then all of a sudden we go to someplace different and the stress of that new environment kind of overrides that motivation they saw at their house or they typically see in their normal environment.
So, yeah, it's I can definitely see what you're seeing, which is environmental.
So for a lot of the people that are watching and listening and maybe hear something like this, it's.
It's not always the problem of motivation.
The problem is the environmental soundness that really has to come from some of the crazy operational environments and the really desire to keep working multiple hours.
Like you guys said, it's a 10 hour shift.
And it's mundane.
