It's good to have that kind of dog that can carry that new handler to get under to get under their feet, to get experience, right?
Because kind of like to your point, a new handler, a new dog.
These handlers, it depending on how long the school is too.
If someone goes through a six week school with a brand new dog and all of a sudden you're blessed and you're certified.
Half of those handlers don't even know what to do with the information they got.
Like they're barely absorbing it.
So their lessons are learned operationally, right, wrong, or indifferent.
And busier agencies, the learning curve is faster, slower agencies or less calls for service.
That learning curve takes a little bit longer because it just you gotta be behind the wheel to learn it.
It's it's a lot to consider.
This is why what we're all harking back to is you have to have a really solid selection process.
You uh uh you can't weed out everything.
But
Having
One, it's in and there's both sides of this equation, vendors and cops.
The the cops aren't gonna trust the vendors because the vendors are selling dogs and there's all the different pros and cons to that.
But then the the vendors have a hard time trusting the cops because you buy a dog from them and in their mind, I gave you a dog that was good to go.
And then all of a sudden it was with you for X amount of weeks and you're bringing me back this thing that I never saw happen when I had it, though maybe I only had it for two weeks, but and it was in a kennel.
So both sides are looking at it from their lens of some mistrust.
