So I think what happened was because of the financial situation that we are coming into,
young men felt kind of left behind and screwed over.
And because we've grown up seeing so many new opportunities being built for people in marginalized communities, we have assumed that that means that we're losing something, that it's worse to be a white guy in this country.
Meanwhile, as a white guy in this country, I can tell you, it's still kind of really easy and it still kind of rocks.
White privilege from the inside has been a treat.
There's no white privilege.
And it's just you want to laugh because it's so ridiculous.
But unfortunately, a lot of people have come to believe this.
And a lot of guys my age have said, OK, woke has gone too far and we have taken too much away from us to give to everybody else.
Meanwhile, what we've lost is the narrative that that I believe to be true, that masculinity is defined not by what you can take from other people, but by what you can give.
Not from how hard you can knock people down, but from how high you can rise them up.
And I think that there is a very big fight we need to fight.
But I don't think Gen Z men are lost forever.
I can't let the Democratic Party give up on young men.
I said this about the state of Florida.
I feel as though the Democratic Party abandoned Florida and said this is a permanent red state now.
Meanwhile, if you look at the 2018 election, Ron DeSantis won by a hair.
Right, clearly.
And Florida voted for Obama two times.
And there's so much work the Democrats need to do there, especially down in Miami, especially with Latino communities.
