The guilt, the second guessing, and the mental load of wedding planning. All you wanted was to get married pero sobrang daming challenges in between. Remember yung sa stages nung from joy to anxiety ng isang bride? We all started super happy, super excited.
And bakit nila naramdaman yun? It's because of these challenges.
Isipin mo every decision. Ganun karami yung taong kailangan mong i-consider. And yung mga unsolicited opinions pa, maririnig mo. It will make you second-guess yourself. Na parang, eto yung decision mo. Tama ba to o mali? So, those are the three things
Na hindi natin na pag-uusapan enough as a bride. Kasi when it comes to wedding, they expect us to be a happy bride all the time. Pero sa totoong buhay, nai-stress din tayo. E tao din naman tayo, no? And as a bride, sobrang daming challenges mong pagdadaanan. Pero, I hope,
this wedding planning will make you stronger. Kasi dito sa wedding planning, there will be a lot of people na akala mo close sa'yo, mahalaga sa'yo, but they will cause you heartbreak. But there will also be people out of nowhere, bigla kang tutulungan para silang angel sa buhay mo. Out of nowhere, there will be people na sila yung magpapagaan ang buhay mo during the wedding planning. So for me, don't carry it alone.
find people who will support you. So that itong mga bagay na to na hindi mo kayang i-discuss sa mga pamilya mo kasi sila nga yung concerned no. You will have an outlet to say all these feelings. I have three gentle reminders for you. Number one, it's okay to feel everything.
As a bride, alam ko sobrang daming expectations from you. You're expected to be happy all the time. But it's okay to feel sad. It's okay to feel frustrated. You are not dramatic. You are not a bridezilla. Remove that label. Throw it away. Hindi tayo bridezilla. It's normal to feel all these feelings. Hindi ka OE, hindi ka weird, hindi ka ma-arty just because you want an organized wedding. You're a human being with feelings.
At right now, yung nararamdaman mo, that is valid. Kaya normal yung nararamdaman mo.
Hindi ka dramatic. Okay? Walang problema sa'yo. Walang mali sa'yo. Sometimes, the people around us are just very insensitive. They do not have any idea of the things we're going through. So for me, it's okay to feel all those feelings and then process all those emotions. Tip number two.
You don't have to carry it alone. Or sa best friend mo. You have to release all these emotions. We just have to have someone to talk to.
Okay? And kung talagang walang tao sa paligid mo nakakaintindi sa'yo, maybe you can join the budgetarian bride na group or different wedding groups and find some brides na nasa same na situation mo. Or message me. Send me a message. Yan. Message kayo sa the budgetarian bride or send a message like this. Maybe we can feature you dito sa ating podcast.
Pero I want you to know that you are not alone. You just have to find the people who can understand you. You have to talk to other brides-to-be or grooms-to-be, suntuweds. Kasi usually tayo-tayo lang talaga yung nagkakaintindihan. And then ito, number three, you have to manage your expectations.
Sa totoo lang, kahit paulit-ulit akong gumawa ng reminders kung ano yung RSVP, para saan to, anong importance neto, there are still a lot of people who don't understand RSVP. Some of them don't want to understand RSVP. And there's nothing we can do about them. So tanggapin mo na, there will be people na hindi mag-RSVP pero pupunta or may mag-RSVP pero hindi pupunta.
walang mali sa'yo dahil ginawa nila yun. Nasa kanila yung problema. Wala sa'yo. And then there will also be last minute changes. Kagaya nung nangyari kay Sender, diba? Nag-confirm kayo nung uno tapos ngayon, bigla kayong hindi darating. And it happens a lot of time sa weddings. May mga suppliers, biglang malilit. Meron kayong mga abay, biglang malilit. Or may emergency, hindi makakapunta.
They happen. They happen. So, for me, perfect wedding is just overrated. Hindi kailangan maging perfect yan. It has to be memorable and heartfelt. Yung bang masaya ka and you're at peace sa wedding day mo.
Ano pa? There will be people who will not attend your wedding. There will be people na ayaw maging abay. There will be people na takot magbigay ng speech. And it's okay. You just have to manage your expectations.
And remember that you are not weak. You are just carrying too much emotions right now. Alam mo, bride, to be normal lang mapagod, normal lang malito, ma-stress, at minsan ma-question kung bakit parang ang hirap-hirap ng isang bagay na
Dapat masaya lang. Pero gusto kong ipaalala sa'yo, you're doing your best. And that's more than enough. Hindi mo kailangang maging happy bride all the time. Hindi mo kailangang i-please lahat ng tao. And you definitely don't have to go through this alone.
This season will pass and one day, you look back, not just at the wedding itself, but at your strength, your growth, and your heart behind every decision. So breathe in, breathe out, sis. You are seen, you are loved, and you are not alone in this journey. Hanggang sa susunod. This is The Vegetarian Bride, rooting for you always.
