So I'll probably do my first five and then spend a long time on them alone without any feedback because too many cooks spoil the broth.

I don't want too many opinions too early on.

But once it's in a place where I'm almost like, I don't know where else to go with this.

I don't know what else to do with it.

I know that I'm ready for another reader.

So I'll get my most trusted readers on probably the first five chapters.

And then what I like to do is do the next five.

I always like to sort of do first 10.

I think the first 10 chapters, by then, even if you're going to submit a part, like if you're a writer and you could submit a partial, I don't recommend new writers submit partials.

I think they should

write complete manuscripts.

But if they're even just trying to get an agent, I think, you know, an agent might take you on a partial, I don't know.

But I think 10 chapters is like the best amount of chapters to do that with because it saves you so much of having to write the whole novel.

But by chapter 10, your reader knows if they're going to finish this book or not.

And you've got a lot, you've got a lot going on by then.

Absolutely.
