Some of the buildings, most of the buildings I've seen have been greatly affected here in Caracas.

cracked walls, floors, walls have been falling, so they don't know if they can still live there.

So those who are not yet unhoused will have to wait to hear from authorities.

Another important thing I'd like to mention, if that's okay.

Actually, in this area, hotels are refusing service to possible customers since they also don't know if the hotel structures can hold for much longer or if anything else happens.

So that's the situation here right now.

We're looking at probably thousands of deaths, especially in one of the states that has been most affected, which is La Guaira, where the main airport that serves the city of Caracas is located.

That's about a 35 to 40 minute drive from the city center.

And I've heard from

the government officials that at least 14 buildings have collapsed over there.

A lot of Venezuelans in exile and in other states are taking to social media to ask whether anyone has seen their loved ones in that state, state of La Guaira.
