That's where entertainment is.
That's where youth culture is.
That's where their friends are.
And it's creating this conflict within parent-child relationships and within families.
And we know that conflict is not a great, you know, thing to have when you're trying to address mental health issues or support young people as well.
So it's interesting.
Can I add to that conspiracy theory?
So not only is it a free pass and it doesn't force them to regulate the actual online harms in a way that would cost them, it causes us to hand over, all of us to hand over a ton of data.
If we have to do age verification and I have a 15 year old and a 13 year old and we need to prove that they're under or over 16, now you need all my children's data.
You need their face.
You might need my credit card.
You might need to know who I am.
We're going to now give all of our information over to companies who've shown us time and time again that they will monetize it, that they can't protect it, that they will use it for gain.
And so for me, it's a surveillance thing as well that we're all marching into willingly without pausing to say, wait a second, who do we actually trust having this kind of information about all of us?
Whether you could get questioned at the polling station.
Yeah.
And young people want spaces where we're not there.
They want spaces away from adults and adults don't want them in public spaces right now.
So we've stripped those away and they're finding community online.
And so I think that's maybe the saddest part for me is that the internet is really broken in so many, so many ways.
