So every once in a while you can get up, stretch your feet, go to the restroom if you need a break, maybe nibble on something just to get your blood flowing.
It's actually very important to do so on the long legs because the cockpit can get a little cramped, yes.
But we try to also interact with our passengers, which is a whole different aspect of being a corporate pilot, which is very nice.
Drink a lot of water during and before flights.
And lotion, a lot of lotion.
The air can get pretty dry up there.
Jet lag, it's a challenge.
Pilots work by Zulu time, right?
So international coordinated time.
You just get your breakfast, lunch, dinner, according to that clock.
So it doesn't matter on which coast you're in.
You just get your schedule because you can find yourself on the East Coast and then the next day on the West Coast and then even Alaska or Hawaii.
You feel it.
It can be quite challenging.
It is challenging, mostly for my wife.
When I get back home on the East Coast, I'm jet-lagged.
She doesn't like it, but it's part of the job.
So it really depends on the customer's preference.
This plane is totally certified to fly without one, and we usually don't have a flight attendant.
But as soon as we get up to altitude away from the ground, we're pretty much free, right?
