Vance with an American delegation and an Iranian delegation meet in Islamabad in Pakistan over the weekend.

And then on Sunday evening, J.D.

Vance basically releases a statement online saying that after a marathon, 21 hours of talks,

It's falling apart and he will be returning to the US without having reached a deal.

Yes.

Yeah.

Vance, he blames the failure of the negotiations on Iran's refusal to abandon their nuclear weapons program.

The Iranian delegates claimed that Washington needs to do more to win their trust and that they kind of had too many points that they needed Iran to sign on to.

And Iran just basically wasn't willing to come to the table on those things.

Hmm.

Donald Trump then came out and told reporters outside the White House that it made, quote, no difference to him if a deal was reached with Iran.

Regardless of what happens, we win, he said.

Whether we make a deal or not, it makes no difference to me, which is weird because it obviously makes a huge difference to him.

And he clearly, for the last month, has been caring very much about the strait being opened.

Then he decides to basically move.

Effective immediately, the United States Navy will begin blockading any ship that tries to enter or leave the Strait of Hormuz, which is where we're at now.

Okay.
