To have real forgiveness.
You know, I growing up as a Christian, I knew God or Jesus died on the cross, there was forgiveness of sin, his blood cleansed me, I received that.
But it
I hadn't really known it growing up.
You know, and uh so over the years I became uh very, you know, self-righteous, proud, um, independent.
I believed I was a good Christian.
I kind of saw the people over there who had lots of sin and I wasn't one of them.
And uh I didn't really realize how desperately I needed to know that.
And uh
You know, Steve talks about our our marriage in those early days, you know, and uh twenty years ago.
Um over twenty years ago.
Uh our marriage was in a really b bad place.
We were both disappointed, disillusioned, and I mean Steve Steve talked about it, you know, the deep pain.
Um
But last week, like I said, I shared this with our kids.
And twenty over twenty years ago, um I had an affair.
On Steve.
And it was something.
That I never could have imagined.
A good Christian girl like me.
