You should see the horrified looks on their faces because I think they actually think I'm serious. matched

But it's amazing how much you have to call out these people matched

really old norms to challenge people and say, no, just because I'm a mum, it hasn't made me less ambitious. matched

I still want a career and sometimes it really feels like you just have to stand there and advocate for yourself. matched

Yeah, because often sometimes employers don't actually know what to do. matched

But certainly, as I said, I liked what you were saying of can you meet in the middle? matched

There's a little bit from the organization, a little bit of yourself as well from a boundary setting perspective. matched

Sometimes I think as mums we feel guilty, we feel scared to say, no, can we shift that meeting to a different time? matched

I know personally I work for an international company. matched

They're actually thinking they're doing something nice by trying to make the meeting as early as possible, like in the afternoon slash evening. matched

And I say, no, I actually want the call after my kids have gone to bed so I can actually have my whole attention. matched

And they're like, oh. matched
