It's funny, isn't it?
Oh, look, it's...
There's a lot of improvement to be made, I think, in the future too, and just the whole VFL structure.
I think that's been floating around for 20 years, and maybe in a few years' time that will get sorted properly, and we can avoid that and improve the setup.
But, yeah, look, I know how hard it is for the AFL to juggle all of these things, and even just getting the men's fixture in place is just a major challenge every year, so...
It's a juggling act, but sometimes you get some strange outcomes.
Look, I think it would have been great.
We loved it.
It was great being the only game in Melbourne and drew such interest.
So that was fantastic for us as a club.
So, yeah, it would have been nice if that could continue.
But, look, next year, the start of the season is all disjointed with the cricket, I think, and the lack of access to the G. And there's obviously been a lot of uproar about opening round and, you know, inequity and all those sort of things, which I get.
So I think that will dissipate.
And, you know, I don't think even the AFL knows what the start of the season is going to look like next year.
Yeah, I think it's a bit of a clunky part of it.
You know, there's some really good aspects of what they've looked at and obviously a lot of thought's gone into it.
But that piece, we're not in favour of because I think if you had quite a few selections early, yeah, then it starts pushing a lot of clubs back and it distorts it yet again.
So we see it as a distorting factor that wasn't perhaps...
so necessary as part of the solution.
