Hello and welcome to the ReformaPilates.com podcast.
Today I'm joined by Nick Lenny.
Nick is the founder of Soul Pilates and host of the hugely respected Beyond the Reformer podcast, where she explores the deeper conversations shaping the worlds of Pilates, wellness and boutique fitness.
Known for her thoughtful, honest, and often refreshingly unfiltered discussions, Nick has become one of the industry's leading voices on movement, business, burnout, and the evolving wellness landscape.
I am also slightly nervous, interviewing because uh someone who is quite clearly a bigger and better podcaster than me.
But Nick, welcome to the podcast.
Well, this conversation could go in a number of different directions, but I suppose we're keen to address some of the thornier topics, I suppose you might say.
So, first question.
Uh boutique fitness has exploded over the last few years, uh, but it feels like the market has shifted.
What feels fundamentally different about running a wellness business today compared to let's say three years ago?
Oh, you mentioned there that the marketing challenge, right?
Um, people looking at the same sources of inspiration or just inputting the same prompts into the same AI and getting the same outputs or close to.
But it seems like there is a lot of pressure
in boutique fitness to to constantly evolve, constantly market and constantly be visible.
Uh do you think there's a risk that, you know, burnout um is being normalized for founders and instructors?
Great.
I'd love to know what's how do you how do you circle back to that then, Nick?
You know, when you when you do feel kind of slightly overwhelmed and stuff as you say, you've got the podcast, you're spinning plates.
What is it that you specifically do to come back and center and and find that kind of efficiency again?
Looks so great.
