Uh so what you've essentially got is uh just an inversion of, I suppose, the usual political alignments here.
And it is funny because Irish unification in America really is like a cross-party issue.
Like, you know, there's a lot
lot of Irish Republicans, there's a lot of Irish Democrats, they all broadly believe in, you know, Irish unification.
So it's kind of a funny
hangover, I suppose, of like the sixties and seventies and and beyond.

As you might imagine, Michal Martin tried to play it down in a pretty big way as soon as he as soon as this remarks were made, because Mihal Martin issued a statement where he was like, Oh, Donald Trump has he's this has always been his position.
He said stuff to this effect before.
He like pointed out that he said it l you know earlier on this year on Capitol Hill.
Uh, you know, kind of that classic approach that has existed since 2016 of like, you should take Donald Trump seriously but not literally.
So, you know, that like he says something but he doesn't really mean it.
So
And look, that's certainly that would be my take on it, is that Donald Trump will will leave Ireland now.
