to kind of use that in a way to kind of seamlessly authenticate themselves.
Nice, easy experience, right?
And being able to pull the data and facilitate transactions that are a bit more trusted.
The capability is great, right?
There's clearly benefit to the consumer to be able to transact like that as well as the service providers that utilize it.
And I think anything that we can do to move towards more standardization is fantastic.
Obviously, there's a lot of...
different players in the market with different perspectives and kind of drivers as to how that plays out.
The economics around what it means for a retail bank to be able to provide that data and be able to support all of the level of calls that kind of come into them and be able to do that well.
But I think also, I think there's an obligation
to the market on how do we safe keep consumer data and how do we provide better standards and rules so that ultimately we focus on the great user experience and the innovation that can happen but we don't run into any of the potential tracks that are there as well right in terms of abusive data or you know people pulling it using it for nefarious purposes and those type of things so i do think there's a lot of room within open banking to continue on the great innovation the reach
the applicability, I think we're just scratching the surface there.
And I think it's a really great tool in the toolkit to facilitate faster payments in the US market.
But I do think that there's a need for us to continue to look at standardization, governance, rule setting, those type of things, so that as it gets to definitely another level of market penetration,
we're all kind of moving in the same direction there and we have a coordinated approach to build network effect with that.
So I do think there's more to do there.
I know there's a lot of players looking at this, which has been fantastic, but the economics of it as well, I know have been put into question and what you referenced there as well.
With that one deal, I'm sure there's going to be a lot more playing out there in the coming year.
So BNY is a pretty interesting AI story.
About two years ago, we built and deployed our own proprietary AI platform within the bank called Eliza.
