Like, you feel it.

I remember going up the hill to training and we passed a certain set of traffic lights and you start hearing, you start feeling your ears go.

Right.

And one of our staff had a little bit of a nosebleed and whatnot.

But...

you I think we you adjust to it quite quickly I think um and that's why I think there was just there was a probably a little bit too much noise around it um because look there hasn't been noise around every other country that have gone and played Mexico has there so um yeah I that's why if you try and remove that realistically England you know with the team that they've got the squad they've got they should they should have won the game

Yeah, immensely proud, first of all, you know.

I think a lot of work's gone in, you know.

It's been a lot of hard work.

I think the first six months was a real adjustment for myself, being honest.

You know, going from that day-to-day transition to international football and...

It's different because I'm somebody that loves to be around people and I think build relationships with people, tap into them and really understand them as humans.

And when you've only got them for 10 days and then you don't see them for six weeks, that part was tough.

But I think then your messaging, you've got to get that across quite quickly.

And I think after the first campaign...

I think the defeat to Slovenia I've said it many times was great for us actually because you really can strip back and have a look under the surface of what needs fixing what you potentially need to try and adapt and what a group of human beings that I work with I'm absolutely it's the best job in the world it really is I'm delighted to be working with such a group and

I think once we managed to get that messaging in and I think sort of October, November, those two camps were pivotal in sort of kicking on.

And then that Spain window just to embed a few bits, you know, behind, you know, behind closed doors, behind the scenes where you can really sort of adjust and do the work and everything.

And it set us up to kick on for this campaign.

And this campaign, we didn't just want to come into it and be like every other Nations League B team that then bounces straight back down.
