him the way the way a a personal lawyer would, you know, and he he clamors for my my Roy Cohn.
But the the uh the other moment is really is just is the last line of the book which really struck me.
I'm gonna I'm gonna grab it here.
It's right after the 2016 election and um Trump is on the phone.
And remember like Cohn died 30 years before
And um Trump is on the phone with with Roger Stone as as one is after after winning elections.
Um and
He says to Stone, wouldn't Roy love to see this moment?
Boy, do we miss him.
Right.
And it's it was it was so stunning to me that in that moment, you know, the the person he's thinking about, and of course it's because Roger Stone and Trump both had a relationship with with Roy Cohn.
Um, and so it's a natural kind of reminiscence.
But in that moment, he would think, like, God, I wish Roy were around so he could see me win.
He would love this, but also I kind of want him to see that I achieved everything and more than what he hoped I would achieve.
Yeah.
And you know, it's interesting, Cohn died in eighty-six, which was even before the Art of the Deal was published, right?
Like that's how long ago, how early uh Cohn was that kind of influence in in Trump's life.
Um
Well,
Michelle, Nikki, I feel like we could keep talking about this guy and this this this period of American history and politics for a long time.
