Growing up in Auckland, man, what do I say?
Well, I grew up through foster care and boys' homes and it was always like the part that I grew up in was just a lot of...
We got into a lot of mischief.
We got into a lot of mischief.
And we wanted some form of outlet to, I guess, just to release what it was for us.
So from the age of four up to about 13 years old, I was just going back and forth through different families, different foster cares, boys' homes and stuff like that.
The way I look at it now is I was able to adjust to different families living in different homes and to see how one particular family would live compared to another family.
So you might live with a family that is quite well-off,
And teach you manners, teach you this and that.
And then maybe a few months later, you might move into another place as a total opposite of that.
So you were in different, you were just in the contrast of life.
And that's how I viewed my life growing up.
And it was just that constant for the years.
I still have a relationship with my parents at the time, but, you know, with the New Zealand system and everything, it's just I think they just found that it was better for me to be in the system and growing up through the social welfare.
