Well, it started with we had the opportunity to work with two amazing directors, Cootie and Chique, as they were finishing up their documentary, Genius, on Kanye West.
And while working with them, they took a liking to Carlton and I's style, hit us up a few weeks later and said, we might have an opportunity for you guys to be able to direct your first feature length film.

Anytime you're doing a documentary,
Like you can plan, you can do all the research, but then you have those moments that you just discover.
You turn over those rocks, you find those hidden gems.
And you know, like Carlton, when we were going into it, Carlton's like, he's an Excel spreadsheet dude.
So like Carlton will be sending all of his research, all of his database, just the number one player in this class, blah, blah, blah.
And you know, like for the most part, those things stuck.
But then once we get on the ground, especially in our hometown where we started in 2022, that class has so much fire in it, you know, and it was just a pleasure to be around all of them.
You know, like we went into it focusing on what we felt were going to be like the two top students.

But it was just so much talent that we just put our lands on whoever we could to be able to capture all the magic.

And now even to like when you when you people who are watching the tournament now, you see a lot of the players represented, especially in the women's game and the women's final four.
I was telling somebody yesterday what what UCLA has put together with Lauren Betts and Kiki Rice and, you know, a couple more players on that team that works.
Twenty twenty two All-Americans.
You can see the talent unfolding right now as they are competing for a championship.
