So I started beekeeping in 2012.

I was still in college.

And yes, I was studying, but I was able to really focus on the bees, focus on my immune system.

I was doing a lot of chemistry courses at the time.

So I was able to bring the stuff I was learning in the apiary into the lab.

And I was kind of creating this product line for myself.

But it was a really...

authentic experience because I wasn't looking to start a big company or make some career transition.

I was literally just thinking about how can I heal myself and how can I work with these incredible creatures that have so much potential to change our health.

So when did you decide, okay, I think I need to walk away from this high achieving finance career to literally focus on bees?

So after college, I went into finance.

I was at Goldman Sachs until end of 2016.

And it was never authentic for me.

I've always been nature focused.

And I had this great job on paper.

I had a lot of debt when I graduated and I couldn't turn it down.

But I didn't feel like I was creating an impact the way that I wanted to.

And I had had such a profound impact.

I felt like other people could benefit from this and people deserve to know about this.
