It is obviously very specific to everybody and where they're at in their career.

But my answer is I spend very little time of my day actually reading.

Most of it is working on emails, proposals, pitch letters.

I'm in Zoom meetings.

That part of my business takes up most of my day.

I have actually been trying more and more to do actually more reading during the business day.

Between 4 and 5 p.m., that kind of like last hour of my workday, that's my new goal.

I generally read queries kind of every couple weeks and then I forward the ones I'm interested in over to my assistant, Maria, who then goes and does the requests.

But a lot of the reading is done in the evenings and on the weekends.

So very little bit is actually done during the day.

I mean, it also depends on if it's a busy season or not.

I have been reading a ton lately.

There's been a ton of things in my slush pile that I've had offers on it.

So I'm reading everything that has an offer on it.

And then I'm also kind of catching up on things that I specifically requested.

So it's a lot.

I mean, I can't even begin to tell you how much it is because I don't track every time I just pop into a manuscript and read a little bit.
