But there isn't really a balance, let's just say it's more just, as I said, leaning into the seasons as they come.

Okay, the next question somebody asked was, do agents read literary journals?

So I think this depends on the agent, again, because I don't work on a lot of literary fiction.

And so I'm not kind of combing through things looking for literary writers who are published in them.

Earlier in my career, I did.

I would spend some time doing that.

I would look who was publishing the different pieces.

I'd go try to find them on socials or go find them on their website.

and kind of track them down a little bit and keep an eye on them.

I just, I don't do that anymore.

More of what I'm doing is like long form things on Substack or longer articles.

For example, there was an author who I reached out to when they had a long form piece in The Walrus, which is a magazine.

Reach out to them because I love their piece.

Reach out to them on DMs.

And then they were my client and we've been working together for years.

So for me, it's not so much literary journals so much as it is more long form pieces.

Because a lot of literary journals are more shorter pieces, not long pieces.

So it really, again, it depends on the agent of what they're looking for specifically.

But for me, I'm looking more of a journalistic lens than like a literary journal lens.
