People are showing up with signs and in costumes, including this woman in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Major crowds have gathered in cities including New York, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C., with organizers calling this one of the largest single-day protest movements in U.S.
Officials say the protest will largely be peaceful as the nationwide movement continues to grow.
