Let's keep in space, but talk about a company, a little one owned by Elon Musk called SpaceX, privately held as it currently stands.
But they're looking to raise a pretty penny with an IPO, with the company going public.
And this might be the biggest IPO on record, which is wild to me because some public companies are worth so much money.
But when you think about when they first go public,
They're often quite a bit smaller.
For example, NVIDIA is worth $75 trillion gazillion.
But when they went public, it was just a few billion bucks.
I mean, just a few billion bucks.
But yeah, it's wild, this IPO amount that SpaceX is looking to raise and their current valuation.
Yeah.
The numbers are mind boggling.
And just to put it in perspective, the biggest IPO in history was the Saudi state energy company Aramco.
And they went public in 2019 and they raised $24 billion at the time, which was just kind of mind boggling.
SpaceX wants to raise $75 billion, and based on what we know of their finances, that would put their valuation at about $1.75 trillion.
So, I mean, these are huge numbers, almost impossible to calculate.
It would be one of the largest companies in the world.
Just to put things in perspective, NVIDIA's valuation bounces between the high fours and low five trillion dollars.
And Apple is around there as well.
Not a billion, gazillion, kajillion, like I said.
Yeah, trillion, exactly.
