Change doesn't stick when it's just about doing something different.
It sticks when it's about becoming someone different.
Let me explain what I mean.
When you try to change a behavior without changing your identity, without changing how you see yourself, it will not last.
You try to wake up early and protect your mornings, but deep down, you still see yourself as not a morning person.
you eventually will stop because the behavior doesn't match with who you think you are.
You try to say no more often, but you still see yourself as the person who helps everyone or the reliable one who always say yes.
So eventually you cave because saying yes is who you are.
You see the problem.
But when you change your identity first, that behavior follows naturally.
Instead of I'm trying to protect my morning, say I'm someone who protects my energy.
Instead of saying I'm trying to say no more, try I'm someone who honors my capacity and says no to what is not aligned.
Instead of I'm trying to block focus time, replace that with I'm someone who prioritizes deep work and protects my peak hours.
That shift from trying to do something
to being someone changes everything because now it's not about willpower, it's about identity.
And we act in ways that are consistent with our identity.
Second thing, change doesn't stick when you try to do it alone.
You need support.
You need accountability.
So here's what I want you to do after this episode.
