An American and a French passenger linked to the Hondias cruise ship outbreak tested positive for the anti-strain of antivirus, a rare respiratory disease, less than a day after leaving that vessel.

The French woman developed symptoms on a repatriation flight from the Canary Islands and worsened overnight.

She's hospitalized and isolated, as are the other four French passengers.

Of the 17 American passengers evacuated from the ship, one did test positive but is not showing any symptoms.
