So tonight is probably going to feel like when he made the case for war on Iran.

He's going to pick a target and he's going to throw all kinds of stuff at it and hope that he can fire off enough people to stick with him.

And that's what this is about.

It's not about convincing the entire country.

I think he does want to attack the elections.

I think plan A is to use our military.

He just extended the National Guard in Washington, D.C.

to 2029, which is after inauguration.

Plan B is to use ICE because they're more malleable.

They don't have to follow the rules in the same way the military is.

And I've always said plan C is the January 6th crew, the insurrectionists, his most dedicated followers who will do what he says.

So I think he's going to work down that list over the next couple of months and continue to focus on one thing, free and fair elections.

And I do think it's the most immediate national security

threat for America.

If I could just add one quick thing, which is that the president, if he doesn't bring any charges or any big action in addition to his speech tonight, if he just comes out and claims this is new information that he has, one of the former Trump administration officials I spoke to said, yes, he's created a base that wants the guillotine.

They love it when he goes after people who he says should be prosecuted.

But if there are no charges and

Again, they have actually taken a lot of these conspiracy theories to court, and then they have admitted that they don't have the evidence.

So that's where I said that if there are no charges or any big step that comes from this, the base is not necessarily going to turn out for Republicans down ballot this fall.

I think when people see the facts, there's no amount of interpretation that the spendicers can do.
