Because if you treat the environment as just one other policy consideration to be borne in mind while you're weighing up other considerations, then you don't see it as the absolute bedrock upon which everything else depends. matched

And the whole point of the miniseries, in a sense, was to say that everything that we matched

Our whole economy and every aspect of it is intimately and inextricably and inevitably linked to whether or not we have a thriving, natural world. matched

Because if we don't, then we don't have any of those other things. matched

And I guess the second point would be simply to say: the conversation that we're having just now is being repeated in Amsterdam, in Seattle, in New York, in matched

In around the world, everyone is being told that if we don't get in there now, someone else is going to win the race. matched

And yet we know that there are other conversations that are also happening, which we could also give some time to, which is the fact that in New York State, for example, they have just introduced a temporary moratorium while they wait for regulation to catch up, in a sense. matched

That in everywhere from Amsterdam to Dublin to Seattle, they've done the same and many other places. matched

that I think people are doing that is because we just simply do not have matched

The transparency, accountability, and regulatory framework that we need to be able to ensure that the data centers that we do need, and I'm not saying we don't need any, of course we do, but to make sure that they are operating within the constraints of a very, very fragile planet. matched
