And then we have all the new data centres that people want to build.
So it's going to go up and up and up.
And the problem is we have a programme for government that says we're going to phase out fossil fuels and move away from fossil fuels
For the next tranche of data centres are going to be allowed to use 100% fossil fuels for about six years and then they can have to go to 20% fossil fuels, 80% renewables.
That's more fossil fuels and that's data centres.
These are practical issues.
So forget ideology.
These are problems for, you know, practicality for our grid and for our climate ambitions.
I don't know.
Old habits die hard.
You know, I mean, I've been doing the ferry to northern Spain for the last few years and you get 22 degrees and clouds and your holiday pictures look a bit like Ireland and people say, was there no sun?
It's beautiful.
This year I caught up with this.
Suddenly it was 39 degrees.
So, no, I mean, the cheaper holidays, the family holidays, where you can get one campsite, one apartment and put your family five in it, that's still in the main hotspots.
It won't reduce the pain on your pocket, though, unfortunately.
Yes, Clare, it says what we've known here in Ireland is
about the extraordinary electricity demands of data centres.
But when you kind of see it in this international report and where, if you like, top of the class for being bottom of the class of what not to do, it does put a kind of a new light on it.
