In a post on social media, the U.S.

Central Command says Iran launched what it called multiple one-way attack drones to strike commercial ships in the vital waterway.

U.S.

forces shot all the drones and that, quote, traffic flow through the strait continues unimpeded, according to CENTCOM.

Meanwhile, Iran's foreign minister posted on social media that a deal had, quote, never been closer to being reached.

Pakistan's prime minister also signaled that the deal was nearly finalized.

A senior Trump official also confirmed to reporters that the two sides were close, but added a bit of caution, saying most in Iran want to sign the deal, but, quote, not everybody.

adding that Iran's system is very complicated.

Iran's foreign ministry says it won't be involved in talks unless Lebanon is part of the deal.

Israel insists its fight with Hezbollah is not part of the two-week ceasefire between the U.S.

and Iran and continues hitting Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.

Many Israelis, especially northern residents, do not want Netanyahu to stop.

And in a video message, Netanyahu told them he is still hitting Hezbollah with, quote, great force.
